HitWizard is a baseball coaching, training, assessment, and communication platform. The HitWizard app is published and managed by Elench Technology Ltd ("Elench", "we", "us", or "our").
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information is handled through HitWizard, why it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to users.
Information we collect
- Account and contact information, such as name, email address, role, account status, and sign-in identifiers.
- Athlete profile information, such as date of birth, location, playing level, team and coach relationships, and training preferences.
- Training and performance information, such as assessments, swing observations, goals, drill plans, programmes, and coach feedback.
- Photos, videos, and audio, including swing videos, annotations, analysis exports, and voice-over recordings.
- User content and communications, such as notes, messages, attachments, comments, and shared content.
- Device, usage, and technical information, such as device type, app interactions, notification tokens, login timestamps, IP address, and diagnostic events.
Device permissions
HitWizard may request access to the camera, microphone, photo library, and notifications to provide video recording, voice-over, media selection, export, and messaging features. These permissions can be managed in iOS Settings.
How we use information
- To create, authenticate, administer, and secure accounts.
- To provide training, assessment, video-analysis, communication, and content-sharing features.
- To connect athletes with authorised coaches, teams, or organisations.
- To personalise training content, drill plans, and the in-app experience.
- To send service messages, notifications, and account communications.
- To monitor performance, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, and improve HitWizard.
- To respond to support, access, correction, and deletion requests.
AI-assisted features
Some HitWizard features use artificial intelligence to help structure or improve user-provided content. When a user invokes one of these features, the content submitted to that feature may be sent to an AI service provider to generate the requested output. AI-generated output should be reviewed before it is relied upon. HitWizard does not provide medical advice.
When information is shared
We may share information with authorised coaches, athletes, teams, and organisations; with service providers that help host, secure, analyse, communicate through, and operate HitWizard; when a user asks us to share or export content; when required by law; or when reasonably necessary to protect users and legal rights.
Current service-provider categories include Amazon Web Services, Google Firebase, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and OpenAI. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party behavioural advertising.
Data retention and deletion
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed to provide and secure HitWizard, meet contractual and legal requirements, resolve disputes, and maintain appropriate business records.
To request deletion of an account and its associated personal information, email harry@elench.ai with the account email address and the subject HitWizard account deletion.
Children and young athletes
HitWizard may be used by young athletes through a parent or guardian, coach, team, academy, or other authorised organisation. A child under 13 should not create or use an account without appropriate consent.
Privacy rights and choices
Depending on where a user lives, they may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, objection to the use of, or portability of their personal information. To make a request, email harry@elench.ai.
